Ennis a Hazelnut variety is a sweet and semi chewy nut. We do grow this variety here at the farm and have a limited stock. We have found that those who love walnuts over hazelnuts prefer the Ennis over our popular Barcelona hazelnut. We do not crack this variety but we have found that the Ennis shell cracks easily with a hand cracker or small hammer. without damaging the nut meat.
